On the way home tonight, I was doing about 60mph when a RS4 drove towards me 100mph approx and wow what a sound it made. I actually felt it go by!
I thought the V8 Vantage sounded sweet but this was something else

My pond project...

Ok so I've had a project running for the past year and a half... a 5000 gallon koi pond. I'm hoping to get the fibre glassing done soon but thought I'd bore you with some pictures.

I'll start with where the fish are currently:

And a shot of the filters that will eventually run the beast (there are 4 cylinders, but I've only put 2 in place at the moment) and a picture of my ugly mug along side to give an idea of the size of these monsters!!:

But here is how it started... any clean freaks among us should LOOK AWAY NOW:

And so after this was done, I got my 3 brothers and 2 nephews over, along with a nice man and a concrete lorry, and about 4 wheelbarrows and a hundred trips up and down the garden and this was the result; 1 ft thick concrete base:

Once all that had been left to settle for a couple of weeks, I got my bro in law over (professional tea drinker and biscuit eater, AHEM I mean brickie) and he progressed to block the sides of the pond for me. Just a selection of pics to show the 2 month progress:

Yes I have let him out of there, he had a step ladder inside!!

So thats it for now, guess I'll update this with more pics when I get the fibre glassing done.

New BT Scam

Someone in my family works for BT and being as they sent me this I�m inclined to believe it...

The new telephone 'scam' has arrived in Medway.

I received a call from a 'representative' of BT, informing me that he was disconnecting me because of an unpaid bill.

He demanded payment immediately of �31.00 , or it would be � 118.00 to re-connect at a later date.

The guy wasn't even fazed when I told him I was with Virgin Media, allegedly VM have to pay BT a percentage for line rental!

I asked the guy's name - the very 'English' John Peacock with a very 'African' accent - & phone number - 0800 0800 152.

Obviously the fella realized I wasn't believing his story, so offered to demonstrate that he was from BT.

I asked how & he told me to hang up & try phoning someone - he would dis-connect my phone to prevent this.

AND HE DID !! My phone was dead - no engaged tone, nothing - until he phoned me again.

Very pleased with himself, he asked if that was enough proof that he was with BT. I asked how the payment was to be made & he said credit card, there & then.

I said that I didn't know how he'd done it, but I had absolutely no intention of paying him , I didn't believe his name or that he worked

for BT.

He hung up.

Did 1471 & phoned his fictitious 0800 number - not recognised.

I phoned the police to let them know , I wasn't the first! It's only just started apparently but it is escalating.

Their advice was to let as many people know by word of mouth of this scam.

The fact that the phone does go off would probably convince some people it's real, so please let as many friends & family aware of this.

Apologies if this is not true, but as I said, he works for BT and doesn't usually forward these types of thing on via email...

Ok just for a giggle I was intrigued to see if I start a topic by saying something, how far away can we get from the original subject, as seems to happen so very often on here lol

I got home from work today and collected Les and took a quick trip over to Homebase to pick up some charcoal for our bbq on Saturday - when we came out it was raining quite heavily and on the trip home Les accused me of poodling about in the dry and driving like a loon in the wet - is it just me?
